Blue Anchor beach is easily accessed, the attractive sea wall and flat pedestrian foot path stretches a quarter of a mile for a pleasant walk along the sea front.
There is a Saturday car boot sale at nearby Home Farm during fine weather.

is a great attraction for steam train enthusiasts, excursions
can be taken to Minehead and in the opposite direction,
passing through several stations to Bishops Lydyard. Special
steam railway events take place throughout the year right
up to the Santa’s special at Christmas time.
Dunster is a well known and quite unique medieval village there is so much to see from the famous Castle and beautiful park land, the Yarn Market structure and the Norman church which is well lit up at night, cobbled foot paths, a working mill, small specialised shops and cafes, restaurants and inns. At the end of November the weekend event Dunster by Candlelight is held when the whole village is lit by candles and Christmas lights.
Minehead is a compact seaside town at the gateway to Exmoor, it still retains a number of independent traders, in this way it differs from the usual High Streets. There are many pleasant walks, The main street The Avenue is a tree lined flat walk and there are several cafes to stop for a break along the way.
Minehead has beautiful floral displays as does the nearby Blenheim Gardens.
Watchet is an ancient coastal port with a history going back to the Iron Age. It now has a marina, maritime museum and of course the Watchet railway station. Several eating places including Chives café & delicatessen which is very popular with visitors. The recent opening of a weekly craft/ produce market on a Wednesday is a welcome event to the town. There are shops including those selling second hand goods, antiques, paintings & local craft work.
Places to eat: Within a short distance from Cleeve Park are The Smugglers and meals at the Driftwood café, Binham Grange offers tea on the terrace and meals, Binham is a working farm.
Shops: There is a small shop at the Hoburne caravan park which is approx half a mile from Cleeve Park. There is a Co-op store in Watchet 2 miles away and Tesco store is in Minehead which is 6 miles. A swimming pool is also open for general use at the caravan park.
